Woman arrested for robbery and assault in Westbury

Nassau County police arrested Shannon Ziv, 35 and charged with assault, theft, criminal mischief and possession of burglar tools.

The incident happened on March 4 afternoon at Saks Off 5th Avenue on Old Country Road in Westbury.

Police reported Ziv walked out with merchandise without paying. Two workers from the store followed her outside and confronted.

The woman assaulted both workers and alerted police. Ziv was arrested in the parking lot. Both workers were taken to hospitals with injuries.
