Single vehilce accident resulted with one dead on LIE near Flushing Meadow park

Police reported a single vehicle accident on Long Island Expressway eastbound service road near Van Wyck Expressway in the vicinity of Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

It happened around 1:30am reported the driver was dead on scene. Further investigation reported the driver of 2012 Ford Escape, a 30 year old male hit the guardrail.

His identity has not been disclosed pending investigation.
