Victor man arrested following residential burglary

On October 28, 2026, at approximately 12:56 a.m., New York State Police of SP Canandaigua responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a residence on Sunray Crest in the town of Victor, Ontario County.

The resident contacted 911 after hearing an unknown individual inside of her home. She secured herself in an upstairs bedroom while awaiting the arrival of police.

Upon arrival, troopers located a male, identified as Sean Sullivan, age 44, of Victor, NY, outside the residence near a wooded area. Sullivan was taken into custody without incident. Troopers also recovered two screwdrivers from his possession.

The resident was unharmed, and no property was initially reported missing or damaged.

Sullivan was arrested and charged with:

- Burglary 2nd degree (C felony)

- Possession of burglar's tools (A misdemeanor)
