Train delays in Hicksville

The NCPD is at the Hicksville station of LIRR reporting a male struck by train died on the scene. This is by New South Road. ESU removed the body and the medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy.

The incident was reported around 9:45am this morning during the rush hour.

The investigation continues.

Also, around 11am, the LIE westbound is delayed due to a tractor trailer fire. Firefighters are working on the scene.

Heavy delays all around.
