State Police arrest Bronx man for DWI with a child in the vehicle

On July 5, 2025, at approximately 2:33 a.m., Troopers from SP Tarrytown conducted a traffic stop on a 2024 white Honda traveling eastbound on I-287 in the town of Greenburgh for moving from its lane unsafely.

The driver, identified as John Ariel Pena, 34, of Bronx, exhibited signs of intoxication while being interviewed by Troopers. Standardized field sobriety tests were administered, which Pena failed. Further investigation revealed a 5-year-old child was also present in the vehicle.
