Suspect arrested on rape and sexual abuse charges

On September 9, 2025, New York State Police arrested Robert J. Dunn, age 48, of Millport, NY, on charges of Rape 2nd (D Felony) and Sexual Abuse 2nd (A Misdemeanor).

The arrest stems from an ongoing investigation in which Dunn is accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old victim.

Dunn was processed at SP Horseheads without incident and arraigned in the Town of Veteran Court. He was remanded to the Chemung County Jail with $50,000 bail/$100,000 bond.

The investigation remains ongoing.
