Freehold woman arrested for burglary in the Town of Cairo

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, at approximately 5:20 p.m., troopers from the New York State Police Catskill barracks responded to a residence on Route 67 in the Town of Cairo for a report of a burglary in progress.

 The investigation revealed that the victim arrived at the residence and observed an unknown female sitting on the couch holding a pair of scissors. The female then stood up and walked out of the residence.

 Troopers located the female a short distance down the road. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to SP Catskill for processing. The individual was later identified as Courtney Jenkins, age 36, of Freehold, NY.
