Still the struggles continue outside the Creedmoor vicinity in Bellerose

After the migrant lot closed inside the Creedmoor location in Bellerose, many refused to go to undisclosed shelters. Some of them still based in Bellerose while wandering around Glen Oaks and Floral Park say that Creedmoor was safer than the new shelters with less security and more crimes. Some find solace around public areas including train stations plagued by drugs. There were reports of 112 ODs in the vicinity of Bellerose to Floral Park within the Jamaica Avenue to Jericho Turnpike like with one dead two weeks back in Queens Village identified as a homeless male.

Self deportation is the last resort since they need to pay back the full loan paid to the groups that transported them to the open border under the Biden administration or face consequences back home.

Some say living outside by any means except shelters are safer while some are staying at basements while working locally. Meanwhile, some local residents complained migrants do sneak in at Creedmoor campus overnight but the local precinct denied.

With limited resources and programs in NYC after President Trump took over, many migrants are making adjustments around the city while the Mayor is focused more on the upcoming election along with other candidates.

So far no one has spoken on any support for migrants but all on housing, housing and more housing in NYC. Under President Trump, all migrants must report to 26 Federal Plaza for processing and not under city or state in NY.
