Heavy fire at a home in Seaford

Firefighters are reporting a heavy fire at a home in Seaford. This is on Seamans Nick Road in Nassau County near the local 7-Eleven.

EMS reported injuries.

The fire marshal reported this is now a second alarm and continues to extend throughout the home after it started on the first floor around 4:30pm.

More than 50 firefighters from other areas are working on the scene. Local residents are advised to close windows from smoke inhalation extending in the area.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
