Shooting investigation in Central Islip

The SCPD reported yesterday a shooting resulted with a male, 18 shot and was transported to a local hospital in Central Islip. The Suffolk County Police are increasing patrols in the area after the incident which occurred after 7pm on Ash Street.

Police didn't disclose additional details on the incident.

As of today, the teen is in stable condition.

ESU along with detectives are continuing with the investigation.
