Labor Day weekend coming up

How did Labor Day start?

It's right here in NYC.

10,000 workers marching in NYC in 1882, demanding fair hours and safer conditions. Some worked 12 hours, 7 days a week without a day off. Labor groups and unions became stronger and today workers have rights.

It's a weekend to celebrate the workers who keep America strong.

As for events around NYC, the biggest one is in Crown Heights, Brooklyn for the Jovert parade. The other ones cycle around the city or the beach.
