Doctor accused of sexually assaulting unconscious patients jailed DA

A former gastroenterologist was sentenced to 24 years in prison after pleading guilty to raping and sexually assaulting acquaintances and female hospital patients, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced Thursday.

Zhi Alan Cheng, 35, of Astoria, was also sentenced to 10 years of post-release supervision and is required to register as a sex offender.
