Police activity continue to increase in Glen Oaks

In a 10 days span, police reported multiple people were assaulted in Glen Oaks. On June 18 felony assault was reported on Union Turnpike and 259 Street with the victim in serious condition. Around 5:30pm, police closed off Union Turnpike and 260th Street after one in custody. Over the weekend, police reported more people were assaulted mainly from evening to night. Last night, a serious assault occurred in the parking lot of the shopping center with one in custody. Police didn't respond if it was the same suspect who was released twice from the same incidents.

Residents are advised to stay cautious in the vicinity of Union Turnpike, 260th Street, public parks to Little Neck Parkway after people alerted the police.
