Car and scooter involved in a collision in Westbury

The NCPS reported of a serious vehicular accident in Westbury. The accident occurred on Sunday, June 26 around 1:15pm.

According to police, a 2020 Nissan SUV, operated by a 23-year-old-female was traveling westbound on Old Country Road when it struck an electric scooter operated by a 75-year-old-male that was traveling northbound on Post Avenue. Both operators were taken to local hospitals for treatment. The female operator had minor injuries and the male operator had severe trauma to his head and chest and is in serious condition. The investigation is ongoing.
