Parade highlighted a huge announcement for the Mayoral race

One of the largest parades was held in NYC today and it's the annual National Puerto Rican Day Parade in Manhattan with over one million people in attendance. A very crucial event for the votes to NYC Mayoral race.

The biggest announcement was that Puerto Rico's Democratic Party boss endorsed Andrew Cuomo over Zohran Mamdani. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, also a Puerto Rican endorsed Mamdani giving the audience a mixed reaction. Another candidate Jessica Ramos who endorsed Cuomo giving a big surprise was alongside Cuomo during the parade.

Many locals know that Ramos got into a public Twitter spat with Ocasio Cortez in 2022, accusing the congresswoman of not spending enough time in her district. Since then, oh well.

Another surprise is Antonio Ramon Delgado who is the current Lieutenant Governor of NY has announced to run against the Governor for next year's election. Delgado is not close to Cuomo making many wonder hmmmm, what’s going on here!

Here are the most recent public polls for the NYC mayoral race.

In the latest Emerson College/PIX11/The Hill poll from late May, Cuomo leads the Democratic primary with 35%, followed by Mamdani at 23%, Brad Lander at 11%, Scott Stringer at 9%, and Adrienne Adams at 8%—all others are below 7%.

The Marist Poll from mid-May shows Cuomo at 37%, Mamdani at 18%, Adrienne Adams at 9%, and Brad Lander at 8%—again, other candidates are below 7%.

For the general election, the same Emerson poll has Cuomo leading with 44%, Curtis Sliwa (Republican) at 13%, Eric Adams (Independent) at 10%, and Jim Walden (Independent) at 7%.

For June, no polls were released to the public.
