One arrest made during underage drinking detail

On July 3, 2025, New York State Police conducted an Underage Drinking Detail in Chenango and Otsego Counties.  All of the businesses except one were in compliance.

As a result of the initiative, Ye Olde Shanty on South Canal Street in Oxford was found to be out of compliance.  A 73-year-old employee was issued an appearance ticket for a violation under the New York State ABC Law of Prohibited Sale of Alcohol to a Person Under 21.
