On schedule for Green Acres Mall redevelopment to complete

The Green Acres Mall is on schedule to complete the renovations after demolitions set in Valley Stream. This is part of the estimated $130 million redevelopment project. The new additions are ShopRite, Chesscake Factory, Shake Shack, Dave's Hot Chicken, Panda Express, entertainment venues, more restaurants and landscaped open spaces. The new tenants will start in 2026 with setups.

By 2027, the project is expected to complete with balloons and fanfare.

According to Macerich, the new owner, Green Acres Mall has 18.4 million visitors every year with over $1 billion sales.
