Notes from the indoor dining closure in NYC

After taking notes, there are many conflicting reports of why the governor chose to shut down indoor dining in NYC alone. According to one of the lobbyist groups that handles the governor's public interest stated Cuomo showed his power to NYC after de Blasio couldn't handle the Staten Island restaurant to follow orders from the marshal. Reason says he shut down indoor dining with state power to assist city marshals so others wouldn't follow to gain support. From NYC, 2 watch groups reported lawsuits from tort after outdoor dining setup has caused spikes with the city's comptroller's office but there is more to it. For warrants to be executed by the city marshal, restaurant owners can file with state court if the city court doesn't approve if they incorporate the business with the state. The governor ordered warrant denial emphasizing the COVID hospitalization increase. From another public interest group, the objective is on the lawsuit after more than 330 restaurants filed lawsuits for $2 billion. The lawsuit is continuing and Cuomo called it frivolous. This is from the governor's office, "The bottom line is that NYC was hit the hardest and the Governor took action to reduce infections in the areas that were driving clusters in other large cities around the country."
