Shooting and coronavirus update

7 homicides on Sunday and 11 homicides since Friday evening from gunshots. 6 wounded from 15 gunshots citywide. As usual, NYPD commissioner says gang violence. NYC Mayor blames the court from not being fully active for indictments. The same mayor who stated he made history by emptying jails in NYC. According to NY Governor, despite courts not operating fully, arrested can be held in jail indefinitely pretrial and there is no incentive for each borough's district attorneys to offer pleas. One shot dead in Woodhaven, two dead in the Bronx, three dead in Brooklyn and one stabbed to death in Rockaways.
For coronavirus, statewide reported 57,270 tests with 608 positive cases which is 1.06% total. Hospitalization at 642 and 11 deaths yesterday.
As for bar/restaurant enforcement, Saturday with 53 violations, Friday at 52 and 27 on Sunday. This is mostly in NYC and Cuomo quoted, "This is primarily New York City based...I want the establishments to know we will continue to diligently enforce the law."
As for protesters in NYC and Long Island, Cuomo again stated its a local government matter.
This is the message from the court administrator, "We have been working to re-establish full court operations including jury trials. While NYC does not allow indoor dining, the mayor blithely asks us to call in thousands of people a week for citywide jury duty. Clearly, absolutely, he has no understanding of how the criminal justice process works."
