New holiday to add for NYC public schools

November 12 is Diwali, a celebration for lights. Starting next year, it will be a public holiday in NYC schools. The NY Governor's office confirmed the bill will be signed this coming Tuesday to make it official. The Governor will be in Queens to make the announcement.

Queens parents mainly from Richmond Hill, Ozone Park and Little Guyana campaigned to make it a day of celebration and now it's a reality.
