New York State police arrest Plattsburgh man following burglary investigation

On August 24, 2026, the New York State Police arrested Kayden E. Brant, age 20, of Plattsburgh, for Burglary in the Third Degree, Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, and Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree.

On August 24, 2026, at approximately 5:38 a.m., State Police members responded to the Mobil gas station located on Spellman Road in the town of Beekmantown for a reported burglary.

The investigation determined that an individual forcibly entered the business by breaking the glass door. Once inside, the individual stole merchandise before fleeing the scene.

Through a thorough investigation, State Police identified Brant as the individual responsible for the burglary. Brant was subsequently located and transported to SP Plattsburgh for processing.
