New York State Police make multiple narcotics arrests in Harrietstown

On September 30, 2026, the New York State Police arrested three individuals following a traffic stop in the town of Harrietstown.

Ajarel L. Patterson, 34, of Utica, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree, Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the Second Degree, Resisting Arrest, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh and Third Degrees, and multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

Plumer D. Reed, 49, of Utica, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.

Samantha M. Stillwell, 38, of Lake Placid, was charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.

A search of the vehicle occupied by the three individuals resulted in the recovery of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. During the investigation, Patterson resisted when a trooper attempted to detain him. The Saranac Lake Police Department assisted troopers.
