Motorcyclist dead after crash on the Belt Parkway

Last night around 1:30am, police closed off the Belt Parkway westbound by the Springfield Blvd Exit reporting a motorcyclist crashed toward a wall and died.

The motorcyclist, male in his 20's, lost control and was heading westbound when he struck a wall toward the exit, then fell and died after the impact.

The medical examiner transported the body pending autopsy.

Ongoing investigation.
