Minimum five years wait is a long time for money in NY

Ok, the 3 casino licenses will be announced this December if all goes well. Then clap clap clap to be met with oppositions with protests which will take at least a year.

Relax for Christmas and then the plan goes to the community board for the public to voice aye or nay and that will take around a year.

Once the community board is approved, the next step is a long list from environmental, zoning, city council, senate, assembly and so so so on which will cost the casino owners plenty with white envelopes stacked over and over.

The entire process to the start of construction will take 3 to 5 years. Then construction is another 5 years with regulations in place.

So far the lone bill, online casino bill, S2614, announced in the Senate in January is on slow roll. Today, it's moving forward after announcing it will bring the state $6 billion.

NY is on a roll with two new ambitions, legal cannabis dispensaries and casino related projects funding well to the lobbyists to buy local elected officials legally in NY.

One Queens vocal critic is Andrew Gianaris, Deputy Majority Leader of the New York State Senate representing Astoria supports the casino. The same Gianaris who opposed Amazon headquarters in Astoria by the order of his boss, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez who is silent on the casino project that many speculate will displace over 50,000 low income residents in Corona and Elmhurst from a recent study released.

As for the Mayor’s Office, well, the Hotel and Games Trade Council will be the biggest winner and the power of this union will skyrocket for NYC control. There are multiple sources saying hotels are planned but not confirmed yet.

This is a wait and watch for the residents to see which local elected officials support the casino and who is against it.
