Metropolitan Park unveiled at Citi Field in Flushing

The billionaire hedge fund owner of Mets along with community activists have unveiled a new plan for Metropolitan Park. This is all part of the casino centered development in Flushing next to the Mets baseball stadium.

In the proposal released, here are some of the highlights.

An investment of $8 billion with 50 acres of parking lot where 20 acres will be parking space and 5 acres for community athletic fields and playgrounds. An entertainment complex with a Hard Rock hotel, live music venue and gaming. A food hall and connections to the waterfront, park and around the areas including public transportation.

Here is the list of things to do for the billionaire. For the parking lot, state legislature approval from Jackson Heights/Corona members of the Senate and Assembly who are still waiting for the right opportunity for self gain and they have last names called Cruz and Ramos. The land is city owned and that needs approval from the City Council member whose last name is Moya. Now comes the Governor who can issue the gaming license which will be announced maybe next year or the year after depending on the election cycle. So far local elected officials working part time are standing on the line for the billionaire's handouts after being thrilled to know Mets has a new owner with unlimited resources.
