Many NYC elected officials and locals are heartbroken hearing the news of ICE this morning

This morning, The US Immigration and Customs (ICE) arrested the prime culprit leader of a criminal gang in the Bronx who is wanted nationwide. Then more arrests by ICE targeting those with criminal records were reported in collaboration with DHS, US Marshal, etc.

According to Kristi Noem, the current Homeland Security Secretary who was present in the raid, criminals are the target for deportation despite objections by NYC progressive elected officials.

The charges targeting by ICE are murder, rape, assault, robbery and kidnapping in NYC.

The NY Governor has not responded but the NY Attorney General is monitoring the situation by stepping back.

Meanwhile, the Mayor's Office with the Mayor on sick leave all week reported homeless services will be the main focus with expansion mode over migrants. The more homeless people recruited, the more services with city workers, the more budget allocated to expand.

As for Creedmoor in Bellerose, the federal authorities are operating out of Queens and will issue an update in the coming days on migrants.
