Lisbon female arrested for falsifying business records and grand larceny 3rd

On August 10, 2025, members of the New York State Police arrested Tanya Schack, age 46, of Lisbon, NY, for grand larceny in the third degree and for falsifying business records in the first degree.

On October 22, 2024, at approximately 2:27 p.m., the New York State Police received information about an employee of the Advocacy and Resource Center who was falsifying business records. An investigation revealed that Schack provided community habilitation waiver services for two individuals from April 1, 2023, to May 17, 2024. During the investigation, it was found that Schack had altered documents to falsely report the time she worked, resulting in total compensation of $29,450.94.
