It s Earth Day week

Volunteers and workers are cleaning up NYC and Long Island along with the state as part of Earth Day.

The local elected officials are inviting volunteers to join the community by cleaning up garbage dumped by people on the streets. Gloves, brooms, vests are provided by the elected officials paid by taxpayers.

Also shovels and garbage bags are provided to dispose of trash in the appropriate containers for the sanitation department to pick up.
