Hit and run with pedestrian struck in Malverene

Police reported a pedestrian has been struck in Malverne. This happened around 5pm near Southern State Parkway and Ocean Avenue. The driver took off after the incident. A chopper was hovering above while searching for a missing person who was found around 6pm in the vicinity of Franklin Square and later turned to investigate the driver that took off toward the same direction.
