Hillside Avenue still has the smoke smell in QV

This morning around 6am, local residents inside the Country Pointe Circle woke up to the smell of smoke and called 911 after a car was on fire. This is inside the apartment complex on the corner of Hillside Avenue and Winchester Blvd in Queens Village.

Residents praised firefighters for arriving quick to the scene knocking the fire out from extending to the home.

A witness said it was a nice luxury brand called BMW made in Germany.

EMS reported no injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
