Heavy fire at an apartment in Sunnyside

FDNY reported fire at 43-09 47th Ave. This is an apartment building in Sunnyside. The fire started around 12 pm this afternoon and extended from the cockloft to the apartments. The fire is reported 5th alarm.

EMS reported multiple injuries of over 15 including firefighters.

The fire was brought under control around 3pm.

The cause of fire is under investigation.
