Healthy baby brought smiles in Whitestone

On Monday around 4pm, a father flagged down a law enforcement vehicle in Whitestone saying his wife is in labor. The two officers as part of the MTAPD Highway Unit stopped the vehicle and helped the couple. A baby was born by Whitestone Bridge on the Queens side. Shortly, EMS arrived and transported the baby and parents to a local hospital. Both mother and baby are doing well while the father is all full of joy.
