Fighting crime is bad for President Trump in NYC

New Yorkers favorite president Biden is surely missed. The new president Donald J Trump who is from Jamaica, Queens is proposing to federalize NYC and Chicago the same way he did with DC is making locals angry. President Trump says NYC needs to clean up but the current Mayor refuted the city is safe with crime declined for 10 consecutive months. Despite that, many New Yorkers still feel unsafe due to ongoing issues like homelessness, recidivists out on bail always, robberies and drugs. A recent MTA survey shows commuters still have a sense of danger remains high. While local elected officials are always traveling with their security and entourage, the working people are still in fear while leaving their homes for work.

DC has five times the crime rate of Mexico City, local residents praised President Trump’s action while nonprofits and Democrats demand to leave the city alone.

The NY Governor is quiet since everyone knows of deployment of the National Guard to NYC subways to combat rising crime in 2024 and 2025. This move, aimed at enhancing safety, has sparked mixed reactions among residents and activists forcing the Governor to withdraw heavy security.

The current Democratic primary winner Zohran Mamdani is on a five borough tour against President Trump’s actions for NYC. More than 4 million people in NYC are living on public benefits with taxpayer funds which is draining the city’s budget and cannot afford to live without democracy.
