Felony arrest made after State Police responded to harrassment complaint

On August 10, 2025, at approximately 12:20 p.m., troopers out of State Police Greenville responded to a harassment complaint on County Road 12 in the town of Wawayanda.

 The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim, a 60-year-old female, was retrieving mail from the residence and proceeded to drive up the driveway to turn around. At the top of the driveway, she was confronted by the residents, James M. Blake, age 35, and a 32-year-old female. During the altercation, Blake retrieved what appeared to be a shotgun and discharged a round in the direction of the victim’s vehicle, causing damage to the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

 Blake was arrested and transported to State Police Greenville for processing without incident.
