Dollar Tree announced to close almost 400 stores nationwide

The company, Dollar Tree headquartered in Virginia announced the closing of almost 400 stores nationwide for the year 2019 as part of write-offs after their acquisition of Family Dollar in 2015.

Details of which stores has not been announced as of yet. Another 200 stores of Family Dollar will rebrand under Dollar Tree from its division names. Also, 1,000 Family Tree stores will undergo renovation.

There are over 15,000 stores nationwide and the company closes stores each year based on lack of performance and higher rent.
