Department of Community Safety to launch in NYC

With 26 co-sponsors for the bill to launch a new division in NYC called the Department of Community Safety to handle some of the 911 calls is all set next year. The starting project costing taxpayers is peanuts which is only $1 billion which will cover lots of paychecks for workers on this operation more than the services.

Since the NYPD arrests people for allegedly committing crimes, the worst crime is separating them from their loved ones into jails. That's so hurtful and bad.

Under this division, it's more than policing. It's about love, compassion and dignity with help from vouchers, food, cash assistance and so much without working. This is the best solution for outreach and de-escalation to keep people safe in NYC.

Despite an average of 300 cops quitting monthly and newly hired cops, the incoming Mayor wants to focus on less enforcement and more government programs. The incoming Mayor campaigned on this program as evidence-based strategies that will prevent violence and crime before they occur.

Meanwhile, the NY Governor announced $77 million for NYPD in the subways to combat crimes. The incoming Mayor’s team is not happy with it since NYPD should not be in the subways.
