Attempted child kidnapping incidents in Glen Oaks

Police were called to the Glen Oaks public park on Saturday around 5pm reporting attempted child abduction. This is at 260th Street and 76th Avenue. According to residents in the park, a light blue van was seen with two suspects. One of them approached the 3-year old and the mother resisted with screaming. Other residents came to her rescue in the park vicinity. EMS reported the mother suffered minor injuries and the child was not injured. Police are now searching for the vehicle.

Police reported this is not the first incident as the suspect is in the area attempted before.

Glen Oaks residents are advised to stay cautious in the area.
