Road flood resulted traffic delays

The NYS Dept of Transportation are on the Cross Island Parkway and Clearview Expressway to estimate the flood causing both parkways to close earlier.

It all started around 5am starting with the LIE followed by Clearview Expressway and then the Cross Island Parkway.

Tow trucks were all over to remove vehicles that were stuck in the water.

DOT officials are working to clear the traffic.
