Added a new one on Union Turnpike to a lot opposite

Finally Fresh Meadows on Union Turnpike announced a new licensed cannabis dispensary. This is by Surrey Place next to the local supermarket and gas station. Also right by the local university.

There are three covering northeast Queens after Springfield Blvd heading to the Nassau County border.

Now no need to look for one heading there but in the heart of Fresh Meadows. The NY Governor issued more licenses for legal cannabis dispensaries to meet the goal of $250 million in taxes generated from the current $140 million from sales by customers.

Fresh Meadows is now on to a new demographic territory with different retailers and franchises while most of the long time store owners have left.

According to the NY Governor's office, the most applicants are from Queens. In the coming weeks, more locations will be announced by the licensed holders.
