15 an hour job workers in the fast food industry wants legal reason for firing

After hard fought victory to make minimum wage to $15 an hour for fast food workers in NYC, they got their second wish which was to set their own work hours.

From there, many were fired without reasons.

Now the workers want to work with a NYC Council to introduce a bill to give legal reason for firing.

If passed, the firing must be in written notice with legal reason. Some of the examples are lateness, absent without notice, customer complaints and disorganized tasks.

Since the jobs are not union, City Council wants to protect workers with a appeal process through arbitration.

If the bill pass, it will be the first nationwide.
