Zelden and Hochul to November election for NY Governor

Lee Zeldin of Long Island won the Republican Party beating out three others to take the lead. Zelden was the designated candidate for the GOP giving him the primary ballot without collecting signatures. Now he will challenge the current Governor Kathy Hochul who won by a large margin for the Democratic Party.

Hochul from Buffalo replaced Andrew Cuomo after the latter resigned to continue the remaining term for just 10 months.

Zelden stated if he wins, he will focus on crimes by removing underperforming DA starting with Manhattan.

Hochul is focusing on more bills and budget for gun control and abortion.

As for the campaign war chest, both are well lubed and primed with over $30 million. The Election Day is November 8.
