Wooden piece by subway rail fell to a vehicle in Queens

A piece of large wooden beam by the subway rail from the section of 7 train in Woodside fell to the windshield of a vehicle on Roosevelt Avenue near 65th Avenue after 1pm.

The driver escaped without injury.

The wooden beam went through the windshield of a Tahoe vehicle to the passenger side seat.

Local politicians are blaming MTA for not keeping up the safety of the rails and stations.
