Woman accused of assaulting man at NYC karaoke bar police

A woman allegedly hit a man in the head with a drink pitcher during an assault at a karaoke bar in New York City in January, police said.

The incident happened inside a karaoke bar at 136-28 39th Ave. in Downtown Flushing in Queens on Jan. 20, according to the NYPD.

The woman and a 24-year-old man got into a dispute over a karaoke microphone, police said. The woman allegedly struck the man in the head with a metal drink pitcher, according to police.

The man was seriously injured and was hospitalized with cuts to his face and head, police said.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the woman, who hasn’t been identified
