Utility companies spreading love message for all

A new bill passed in the NYS that outlines all utility companies servicing electric, heat, hot water and other necessities for residents must disclose price increase within 45 days.

This is a notice of love to let all know the price will increase when needed. Since the utility companies control the local elected officials, residents have no hope to dispute but obey and pay.

The purpose of the bill is to give advance notice to prepare the rate hikes. The best part is utility companies can hike the rates as many times as they want so work on the budget to save from avoiding a shutdown of services.

This is in time for tenants who will have to pay heat, hot water and electric in new buildings where there are no gas boilers.

The local elected officials are working around the clock to make sure all burdens are on tenants beside paying rents to dance to developer's tunes. Again, more like to let all know legally of rate hike in advance with no choice but to pay.

This will start in January 2026.
