Update on the fatal shooting in Queens from chase in Nassau County

Police in a press statement to the media and public reported the crime was carjacking in Garden City Park on Jericho Turnpike and Nassau Blvd in the parking lot. The incident that happened on February 25 around 5pm when carjacking was reported of Mercedes Benz. The owner of Mercedes posted the car for sale on social media and two men from Queens went there after agreed to meet. This is when the crime started. Following chase from Jericho Turnpike to the intersection of Linden Blvd and 217 Street, the suspect identified as Matthew Felix, 19 was shot and killed by Nassau County police officer. This was not his first arrest. Due to ongoing investigation, both NYPD and NCPD didn't provide additional details.
