Warning to drivers in the northeast Queens

One part of the Clearview Expressway closed for a dead body investigation. This is northbound by Exit 2, Union Turnpike in Bayside.

A witness says the pedestrian was walking on the expressway and may have been struck by a vehicle this morning awaiting confirmation from detectives.

This is the latest incident reported in northeast Queens where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and died. The recent one was reported at the intersection of Hillside Avenue and Braddock Avenue in Queens Village last Friday morning.

Local residents have reported to police of men wandering around and often blocking or standing behind vehicles aware or unaware.

Hillside Avenue reported 14 drivers calling cops of pedestrians wandering on the road during rush traffic. So far no injuries have been reported from those incidents.

The medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy.
