UPDATE New York State Police seek public assistance in locating missing 14 year old in Dutchess county

Cameron has been located in good health. State Police thank the media and public for their assistance.

The New York State Police at Wappinger are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 14-year-old Cameron Smith, who was reported missing after leaving his residence on Alpine Drive in the town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, on October 24, 2026, at approximately 1:43 p.m.

Cameron is described as approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with dark hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black knit hat, a black puffy winter jacket, light blue ripped jeans, and black-and-white sneakers. Cameron was also carrying a red backpack and a silver Razor scooter.
