State police arrest Bloomingburg man following investigation for sexual misconduct involving a minor

On October 20, 2026, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Wurtsboro arrested Eric I. Mannings, age 37, of Bloomingburg, NY, following an investigation of sexual misconduct involving a minor.

 

The investigation began on July 12, 2026, following a report of a sexual assault involving a 15-year-old victim in the Town of Mamakaing.

 

Mannings was transported to SP Wurtsboro and charged with:

Rape 1st Degree, Anal Sexual Contact, a class B felony

Rape 1st Degree, Oral Sexual Contact, a class B felony

Luring A Child into a Building To Commit A Class B Felony, a class D felony

Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor
