Two suspects arrested for grand larceny in horseheads

On September 8, 2025, the New York State Police arrested two individuals following an investigation into fraudulently acquiring gift cards at the Walmart Super Center in the town of Horseheads.

The suspects, identified as Christopher Causell, age 29, of Hempstead, NY, and Tavares Vineyard, age 23, of New Jersey, were taken into custody with the assistance of Troopers from SP Painted Post. Both were charged with Grand Larceny 4th (E Felony) and transported to SP Horseheads for processing.

Both defendants were issued appearance tickets returnable to the Horseheads Town Court on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 7:00 PM.

The investigation remains ongoing.
