Two individuals arrested for endangering the welfare of a child

On October 8, 2025, members of the New York State Police arrested Corey Valentin, age 20, of Mineville, NY, and Jason A. Cole, age 36, of Witherbee, NY, on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

The arrest followed a law enforcement referral regarding narcotic use received by the New York State Police on September 30, 2025, at approximately 4:13 p.m. An investigation revealed that Valentin and Cole had provided smoking devices and marijuana to two juveniles.

Both individuals were arrested and processed, then released with appearance tickets that require them to return to the Town of Moriah Court for a later date in October.
